Who'll Wear the Pants in 2006 and 2007?

Celebrities on the "red carpet" have been showing off a new trend, the fitted white pantsuit and now the style is being marched down the wedding aisle. Pantsuits once were relegated exclusively to the older, or second-time-around brides, or for civil ceremonies held in a judge's chambers. Brides have been pushing the envelope for years getting married in everything from period costumes to mini-dresses and some designers say they have been showing pantsuits "forever." Today, even the non-bridal designers are showing pantsuits that can easily be "translated" into bridal attire.

The pantsuits are being shown in a variety of styles from tuxedo coat with corduroy pants to lace pantsuit with camisole top, to beaded chiffon jacket and trousers to silk palazzo pants, all topped off, or not with traditional bridal headgear.

The pantsuit isn't for every bride, but, under certain circumstances, it can be the perfect choice.
