Dressing Your Pregnant Bridesmaid

There is no reason to exclude the mom-to-be from your attendants' list. A mother-to-be can make a beautiful bridesmaid, as long as you, the bride, encourage her to shop "well." Take the mom-to-be on a shopping adventure, perhaps even before you shop with the rest of your maids. Avoid stiff fabrics like satin and taffeta. A soft flowing fabric like chiffon or crepe will fall more gently over her tummy. Look for a dress that will accent her best features. If she's got a great bust-line, go for a "V-neck gown. If her legs are her best feature, consider a shorter gown. When you and she have found the gown that works, compliment it with comfortable shoes, with a thick heel, which will her help to keep her balance. Nothing is more feminine that a pregnant woman!
